All roads are set to head to Kabaka’s Lake in Ndeeba for the 15th St. Lawrence University [SLAU] graduation ceremony where over 600 students will be awarded certificates, diplomas, and degrees respectively in various professional disciplines.
The development came to light over the weekend during an exclusive interview with the University dean of students and spokesman Simon Peter Mabira who revealed that the vice president Rtd.Maj. Jessica Rose Epel Alupo will be the chief guest of the day on the 20th of February 2025.
Mabira pointed out that over 620 students drawn from within the East African Community and beyond are expected to graduate as well as showcasing the achievements of a group of their entrepreneurship women from Grameen Women Initiative [GWI] a brainchild project initiated and officially launched by First Lady Janet Kataha Museveni operating in Rubaga division.
All the University chancellors have been vice presidents of Uganda with the pioneer being Prof Gilbert Bukenya, followed by Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi and now Rtd. Maj.Jessica Alupo respectively.
