The Directorate of Traffic & Road Safety conducted 256 sensitization engagements in the month of September, targeting all road users who include, market vendors, school going children, tax operators, lorry drivers, boda-boda riders & passengers especially in public service vehicles.
The campaign included 5 TV talk shows, 48 radio shows, 203 physical engagements aimed at promoting behavioral change & road safety awareness nationwide.
“We extend gratitude to media houses that generously provided free airtime, supporting our road safety campaigns. Your partnership has been invaluable in spreading the message & promoting safer roads”. Said Micheal Kananula, the spokes person of directorate of Traffic Police.
