The authorities have successfully located the woman who reportedly went missing from her matrimonial residence.
Recently, news outlets covered the case of Sharon Natukunda, a 29-year-old housewife residing in Kigowa 1, Bukoto II parish, Nakawa, Kampala District.
On December 16, 2024, she vanished from her marital home in Kigowa village, Ntinda parish, Nakawa division, Kampala, and traveled to an unknown location, leading her parents to file a missing person report at the Ntinda police station.
According to a statement from the police, an investigation was initiated to determine her whereabouts.
“Today January 13, 2025 at around 1150 hrs information was received that the victim was sighted at Kabaga -Kayanga a village in Kitezi parish Kasangati division in Wakiso district,” the stated noted.
A group of police officers located her in Kiteezi at the office of the local council chairman.
The officers then escorted Natukunda to her residence, which was approximately 200 meters from the chairman’s office. In an interview, Natukunda explained that her absence was due to domestic violence inflicted by her husband.
Subsequently, she was taken to the hospital for medical care.
