The examinations body, UNEB has cautioned Heads of UCE Centres against Fraudsters claiming to be members of its Security Committee

”As we await to confirm the release date for the 2024 UCE results, the Board wishes to caution all Heads of UCE Centres against fraudsters extorting money from them claiming to be members of UNEB Security Committee. It has come to our attention that the masqueraders are calling Heads of centres and School Directors claiming that the results of their candidates are to be cancelled due suspected involvement in examination malpractice.” said Ms. Jenifer  Kalule Musamba, UNEB Public relations manager.

According to her, the team extort money from the unsuspecting School Heads, allegedly to help ensure that their results are not withheld. Please be informed that the Board does NOT operate like that! Where there is a matter of concern, Management will write officially to the affected schools.

”The Security team has been informed and the perpetrators are being tracked. Regarding the release date, once again, we want to inform the public that the 2024 UCE results shall NOT be released today Friday February 7th , as has been alleged on some platforms.” she said

”We ask those concerned to remain calm until the official date is announced. The Board shall communicate the date as soon as we get confirmation from the Ministry of Education and Sports. Finally, we wish to ask Heads of UCE Centers to ensure that they settle all outstanding invoices to avoid being inconvenienced by not accessing results at the time of release. Please check your portals to confirm if you have any unresolved commitment with the Board.” she remarked.
