His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda, hosted a 16-member delegation from One UMMAH, a UK-based charity, led by Brother Uthumaan Mahmood, Senior Manager, at his office on February 28, 2025.
The delegation was accompanied by Hajjat Shania Kigozi, Country Director of One UMMAH Uganda, Sheikh Erias Kigozi, the Kadhi of Wakiso Muslim District, and other officials.
In their introductory remarks, Brother Uthumaan Mahmood briefed the Mufti on One UMMAH’s humanitarian efforts, emphasizing their commitment to supporting vulnerable and displaced communities in Africa and war-torn regions of the Middle East.

In response, Mufti Mubaje expressed his profound gratitude for their efforts, stating: “I salute you because in executing your activities, you are in other ways helping us in fulfilling what is supposed to be our responsibilities as the community leaders.”
He also gave the delegation a brief history of the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC), highlighting its 52-year journey, ongoing development programs, and an overview of Uganda’s population and climate.
