Speaking at the launch event, Wongani Muthiya, the Airtel Sales Director, emphasized the company’s dedication to bridging the digital divide and supporting economic transformation through reliable connectivity.

“Our goal is to ensure that every Ugandan, regardless of location, can enjoy reliable and affordable digital services. The new sites in Soroti are another step toward closing the connectivity gap and supporting local communities with the tools they need to grow, connect, and thrive.”
The five new network sites include:

While the official launch event is showcasing one of these sites, all five are now operational and ready to serve the people of Fort Portal. In his remarks, the Resident District Commissioner of Soroti District, Paul Eseru, welcomed the development.
