BREAKING: Onapito Ekomoloit, popularly known as Ona, a renowned journalist and former member of Parliament has died.
The news was confirmed by a family member who said that his uncle was admited in intensive care unit- for the last two days.
The same sad news was confirmed by Captain Mike Mukulu via his X platform.
Okomoloit was a renowned journalist who served as a member of parliament representing Amuria County.
Onapito achieved what can be considered great success in later life.
After abandoning his early student ambition to become a lawyer, Onapito became a renowned journalist; served as a Member of Parliament, before working as the Press Secretary to President Yoweri Museveni.
Onapito, however, surprised many when he left State House and politics to become a corporate executive.
Onapito joined Nile Breweries Limited, where he spent 17 years as the brewer’s iconic Legal and Corporate Affairs Director.
