The First Son and Chief of Defence Forces for the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces has again captured public interest with his recent post this morning of March 11, 2025 explaining his infrequent church attendance.
Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, via his official X account (formerly Twitter), expressed that the presence of many beautiful women in church can be distracting.
He prefers to pray in the barracks alongside his soldiers, believing it allows him to focus more on his connection with God without interruptions.
“That’s why I intentionally avoid church services. They are too many beautiful women in church. It’s like Sitani concentrates them there for me. No, I pray in the barracks with my soldiers. There we can fully concentrate on God!” he wrote.
This post elicited a range of responses from followers.

The State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs, Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi @BalaamAteenyiDr noted: “God created woman, and woman created a masterpiece of complexity for men to navigate . As the Bible says, ‘A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown’ – Proverbs 12:4. Indeed, women are a blessing, but also a delightful challenge for men”.

Christian Nasaasira @christianbacary: “Those beautiful Women in church are usually well dressed unless your pastor is one of the false ones. You’re always in bars, where there are beautiful half-naked women but it’s in the church where you draw the line”.
Otema Frank Sisto @otefrksto1: “Human brain is wired towards temptation, it’s even worse if you are seeing the temptation right on your nose. Should we also join the Barracks for prayers? cos we also want to concentrate”.
