The Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago who also serves as the Patron of the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club, has pledged to provide support and foster collaborations for the team.
He made the pledge during a meeting with former national footballers, led by their Vice Chairman, John Baptist Ntensibe.

The Former Footballers Initiative (FFI) had paid a courtesy visit to him at the Lord Mayor’s Parlor in City Hall.
During the gathering, the attendees reflected on the history of football in Uganda.
The FFI was founded in 2015 with the aim of empowering both retired and active footballers while promoting stronger solidarity among them.
The meeting was attended by several notable figures, including Deputy Lord Mayor Doreen Nyanjura, members of the City Executive Committee (CEC), and Board Chairman of KCCA FC, Eng. Andrew Sserunjogi Mukiibi.
