This year’s figures mark a significant increase from last year’s total of 1,319,139 candidates, reflecting a growing participation rate and underscoring the vital role these examinations play in shaping the academic and professional futures of Ugandan learners.

According to Dan Odongo, the Executive Director overseeing the examination process, the number of candidates has risen by 97,168 compared to 2024.
