Local dancehall artist Patrick Mulwana, widely known as Alien Skin, has been arrested and brought before Makindye Magistrates Court on charges of robbery.
The prosecution claims that on September 28, 2024, in the Makindye Division of Kampala, Alien Skin allegedly stole an iPhone 15 Pro Black, valued at 3 million shillings, from Salim Mubiru.
Additionally, he is accused of taking 480,000 shillings in cash and a wallet containing a national ID, while also reportedly using actual violence against the victim during or shortly after the incident from the same person.
Chief Magistrate Esther Adikini presented the charges, which the 30-year-old musician denied, entering a plea of not guilty.
The magistrate remanded Alien Skin until December 9, when the case will be revisited for further proceedings.
If convicted, he faces a potential seven-year prison sentence under Sections 266 and 267(1) (a) of the Penal Code Act, Cap 128.
His arrest and subsequent remand occur during an ongoing police investigation into his purported involvement in the assault on staff at Nsambya Hospital, as well as his connections to the suspected murder of Joram Tumwesigye.
