Nation Media Group Uganda (NMG-U) has welcomed its newly appointed Head of Broadcasting, Flavia Tumusiime.
“Flavia is a seasoned media professional with 22 years of experience across TV, radio, and digital platforms. She brings deep expertise in content strategy, audience engagement, and digital transformation—skills that align perfectly with our vision for the future of broadcast,” stated in the official announcement by Nation Media Group on Monday April 07,2025.
“Her work across key African markets, including Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, and South Africa, positions her to lead with insight and innovation. A respected voice in the industry, Flavia’s leadership and passion for impactful storytelling will be a great asset to our team.” the announcement revealed.

In her new role, the seasoned media personality Flavia, will now oversee the operations and strategic direction of NTV Uganda, Spark TV, KFM, and Dembe FM—the company’s flagship broadcast brands.
The groundbreaking appointment, has seen Flaivia saying a big goodbye to Capital Radio where she has been hosting the Capital Fm’s Desert island discs show every Sunday evening.
Flavia, takes over from Johnson Omollo, who exited the Serena-based media house earlier this year.
She joins the company during a time when it has lost several key presenters and is working to revitalise Dembe FM, which had been temporarily closed.
Flavia Tumusiime is a Ugandan media personality, and tech communications consultant, radio and television host, emcee and author of 30 Days of Flavia.
Tumusiime was born in 1989 in Kampala, and is the only child of Enoch Tumusiime and Christine Asiimwe, who hail from Kabale, South Western Uganda.
She attended St Theresa Kisubi for primary school, then joined Kitante Hill Secondary School for both “O” and “A” levels. She then attended Makerere University Business School where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Business.
