Joshua Tumusiime, also known as Conrade, Kalinda Jenesis, Arun Kumar, and Patel, has been apprehended by the Jinja Road Police for their involvement in a series of fraudulent activities targeting several companies.
Tumusiime is accused of impersonating the owner of Twilight Holdings Limited to secure a contract with Grain Pulse Limited for the transportation of fertilizers to clients in western Uganda.
Instead of fulfilling the contract himself, he subcontracted the work to Lolyne Enterprises Limited while concealing his true identity, falsely claiming to represent Native Group Limited, which is owned by Chinese national Arun Kumar.
Allegedly, Tumusiime received a payment of shs12,000,000 from Grain Pulse Limited but vanished with the funds without passing any money to Lolyne Enterprises Limited.
Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson Patrick Onyango stated that this case is part of a larger pattern, as the police have received numerous complaints against Tumusiime from various locations, including Kireka, CPS Kampala, Bweyogere, and Jinja Road.
Both Tumusiime and his accomplice, Moses Ssebalu, are currently in custody at Jinja Road Police as investigations continue. They face charges of obtaining money under false pretenses and theft. Onyango confirmed that their case files are being prepared for submission to the Resident State Attorney for review and legal guidance.
