Unilever Uganda, through its iconic seasoning brand Royco, has successfully concluded its ‘Share Goodness’ campaign, a month-long initiative that provided nutritious Iftar meals to over 5,000 Muslims in 25 mosques across the country. To mark the end of Ramadan, Royco on 29th March 2025, made a significant donation to the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council, reinforcing its commitment to community welfare and the spirit of giving.
As part of the donation, essential food items including sugar, rice, cooking oil, beans, salt, and Royco seasoning were distributed to support families as they prepare to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. The event, held at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council headquarters, was attended by religious leaders, community representatives, and Unilever Uganda officials.

Speaking at the event, Grace Nandawula, Head of Customer and Strategy Planning at Unilever Uganda, highlighted the essence of the campaign and Royco’s dedication to enriching lives through flavor and nutrition.
“Ramadan is a time of devotion, reflection, and sharing. At Royco, our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and this period resonates deeply with our brand values. The ‘Share Goodness’ campaign has been our way of contributing to meaningful moments for families across Uganda. By providing meals and essential food items, we hope to spread joy, promote togetherness, and celebrate the generosity that defines this sacred month,” Nandawula stated.
Throughout Ramadan, Royco’s ‘Share Goodness’ campaign went beyond providing Iftar meals, actively engaging communities through donation drives in 30 supermarkets. Shoppers were encouraged to contribute to food collection bins and make mobile money donations via QR codes, with all proceeds going towards supporting vulnerable households. Additionally, mosque-based Iftar experiences featured meals prepared with Royco’s signature seasoning, elevating the dining experience for thousands.

Sheikh Mutyaba Abdusalam, Executive Imam at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council, expressed his gratitude for the initiative.
“We are deeply grateful to Unilever and the Royco brand for their unwavering support during this holy month. This initiative has made a significant impact on our communities, ensuring that many families have had access to meals and now have the means to celebrate Eid with dignity. May this spirit of generosity continue beyond Ramadan.”
