The President of Kenya, Dr. William Ruto, has made a courtesy to former President, Uhuru Kenyatta, during which they engaged in discussions on a range of topics including Raila Odinga’s candidacy for the Chair of the African Union Commission.
In a statement shared via his official X account, previously known as Twitter, Ruto described their meeting as productive, highlighting their conversations on both national and regional matters.
He wrote: “I have had a fruitful engagement with Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta when I paid him a courtesy call at his Gatundu home where we discussed national and regional issues.
I thanked him for his continued role as a national statesman and for peace-making in the region.
We called for expeditious resolution of the court matters on IEBC and urged support for the candidacy of former Prime Minister @RailaOdinga for the Chair of the African Union Commission”.
