The Church of Uganda is mourning the loss of Bishop Emeritus Samuel Balagadde Sekadde, who passed away on Monday at Kisubi Hospital.
Sekadde served as the Bishop of Namirembe Diocese, the oldest diocese in the Church of Uganda, from 2000 until his retirement in 2009.
During his tenure, he was known for his commitment to pastoral care, his emphasis on unity within the Church, and his active engagement with both spiritual and community development programs.
His leadership was instrumental in strengthening church institutions, including schools, hospitals, and other outreach projects.
