In a decisive election, Isaac Ssemakadde also known as Legal Rebel has been elected the new President of the Uganda Law Society, securing an impressive 1,386 votes.
His victory comes with a significant margin of 755 votes over his nearest competitor, Atukunda, who garnered 631 votes.
The election also saw 12 votes deemed invalid.Ssemakadde’s campaign focused on reforming legal practices in Uganda, promoting access to justice, and enhancing the role of legal professionals in society.
Ssemakadde is known for his stylish approach and boldness in protecting and promoting justice in the country.
His supporters celebrated the victory as a testament to his dedication and vision for the future of the legal profession in Uganda.
The voting took place at Speke Resort in Munyonyo, where a total of 2,029 voters participated.
