The territorial police in Nakasongola have arrested three suspects in connection with the theft of livestock from Namanyonyi Wabigalo village, Wabinyonyi sub-county, Nakasongola District. The incident occurred on the night of April 12, 2025, at the farm of Nyamudongo Emmanuel.
The suspects have been identified as Mutyaba Fred, Sentamu Sula, and Musinguzi John.
According to area police spokesperson Sam Twineamazima, the trio allegedly stole and slaughtered goats from Nyamudongo’s farm. Investigations suggest that on the night of April 11, 2025, Mutyaba Fred initiated contact with Sentamu Sula about the plan. Sentamu arrived with an accomplice on a motorcycle and later met Musinguzi John, who led them to the farm.
In a related development, the motorcycle used during the theft was set ablaze by angry residents.
Twineamazima noted that investigations are ongoing to establish the suspects’ involvement in other recent cases of livestock theft across the Savannah Region.
