The Uganda National Netball team, known as the She Cranes, has climbed to sixth position from eighth in the latest World Netball rankings.
Uganda is now ranked second in Africa from third after South Africa, who are number one.
Malawi have taken Uganda’s former position.
It should be remembered that in January, the She Cranes competed and fairly acquitted themselves in the Test Series and the Vitality Netball Nations Cup in Wales and England.
This advancement highlights the team’s consistent improvement on the international stage, particularly following their recent performances.
This achievement comes in the face of challenges at home, as the Uganda Netball Federation has been suspended by the World Netball organization, and the National Council of Sports has withdrawn its certificate of recognition.
Currently, Australia holds the top spot in the world rankings, followed by New Zealand in second, with England and Jamaica in third and fourth, respectively, while South Africa sits in fifth place.
