The Director of Operations for the Uganda Police Force, Frank Mwesigwa, visited the Al Jazeera Formed Police Unit camp located in Mogadishu, Somalia.
He was accompanied by other high-ranking police officials, including Martin Amoru, the Deputy Commissioner of ATMIS Police, and Dinah Kyasimire, the Deputy Director of Legal Services Uganda Police Force.
During the visit, Mwesigwa and his team conducted a thorough inspection of the camp, engaged with the personnel of the Uganda Formed Police Unit, and assessed the working conditions.
In his speech, he praised the officers for their outstanding discipline, dedication, teamwork, resilience, and high morale.
He also acknowledged their successful collaboration with other forces, including the military and other Formed Police Units, within the mission area.
Mwesigwa stressed the necessity of maintaining these qualities to guarantee the mission’s success.
Amoru re-echoed Mwesigwa’s sentiments, emphasizing the vital role of the Uganda Police Force in the overall mission.
